Why is winter share every other week
Why is the Winter Share every other week?
During the Winter Season, you receive roughly TWO weeks worth of produce in a delivery, meant to last about two weeks. Thus, the price is almost the same as the main season if you divide the cost over the 14 week duration, or 7 delivery weeks.Because winter vegetables are hardier, store better AND the winter picking is so much more labor intensive, we choose to pack bigger boxes every other week. It also gives both the farmers and CSA members a nice break from the weekly harvest/pick-up schedule.
