Saturday’s in Salem

Salem Public Market Saturday’s, year-round, 8:30-1:00  (we take January off)

Salem’s oldest farmer’s market- dating back to truck farmers congregating in Marion Park in 1942 who eventually purchased the same building the market resides in today in 1946) is a small, indoor market with a lot of character. For the size of the market, the market boasts diverse craft and food vendors the produce plants, myriad fruit and vegetables, breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, local olive oil, nuts, and wild and farm cultivated mushrooms. Fresh roasted coffee is free to all customers. Crafts include soap, custom framing, blown glass and crafted items for the home and garden. This market has a lot of heart and was the first place we ever sold our vegetables! Open year round. February is wildlife month co-hosted by the Salem Audubon Society. We will be there selling native plants, potatoes, winter squash, dried black beans and frozen blueberries from the farm.

Salem Saturday Market

Salem Saturday Market is Salem’s biggest farmers market and seems to grown by leaps and bounds every year with over over 100 vendors and dedicated customers. There are many activities for kids, prepared foods, live music and many craft as well as food-stuff vendors. 2009 was was our first year at the market and we were happy to find an enthusiastic, supportive customer base. We look forward to growing along with the market.
