Fall Fermentation Class with Sheila Blacketer Saturday October 26th, 11:00-1:00 Commercial Kitchen at the Farm
Long-time CSA member and super passionate fermenter and cook Sheila Blacketer will be leading a fermentation class at the farm October 26th. Sally Miller (expert chef, Food Cart mastermind) will help demonstrate how fermented foods can be incorporated into delicious recipes.
Sheila will explain some of the basics of fermentation science including its health benefits, and demonstrate two basic fermentation techniques and recipes. Class participants will make and take home two ferments using MIG produce including Lemon Dill Kraut and Edgy Veggies.
Class limited to 10 participants
Class includes -One air-lock system for a standard wide-mouth mason jar -All produce used for ferments plus ferments to take home -Light lunch
